The Colorado Plateau is mostly desert, with a few scattered areas of forests. The cracks in the parched earth are clearly visible, but for a few short weeks, every few years, this barren desert is transformed into a magical carpet of purple and yellow.
The scorpion weed and bee plant flowers demonstrated in these pictures doesn't generally seem consistently. At the same time given the right blending of winter precipitation and April daylight and they blossom for simply a couple of days before vanishing again for periods enduring a few years.
Most blossoms on the Colorado Plateau rely on upon winter precipitation for soil dampness. Throughout winter months precipitation by and large surpasses potential evaporation, subsequently dampness stays in the soil for utilization by plants. In the event that snow or precipitation does not fall in winter, the seeds won't grow in spring and the flowers won't sprout.
Nonetheless, their magnificence is best appreciated just in a photograph. The plants gives off a foul scent like human body smell, and gives a nasty rash when touched, similar to the touching of toxin ivy or toxic substance oak.
These pictures were taken by photographic artist Guy Tal.
