Amazing Modern Home Blends in with Joshua Tree's Desert

This amazing house in Joshua Tree, California is an amazing example of modern architecture. Developed by designer Kendrick Hits Kellogg and built from 1988 to 1993, the Organic Modern Property actually blends in with the desert in terms of design and the elements used to create the residence. The strength of the difficult and strong safety spend external brings to mind the bumpy scenery that encompasses the estate. The materials used in construction, including concrete, metal, glass, and copper, were selected to create designs that simulate the touch and feel of the desert.

In comparison to the hard-shelled external, the internal (designed by internal decorator David Vugrin) is a warm, romantic space filled with streaming shapes and organic design that makes use of natural texture of the building. Daylight sources in through opportunities that individual the massive tangible panels. According to the architect, this juxtaposition between strong external and carefully bending internal "highlights the masculine and feminine forms that are the characteristic of organic structure."

This unique desert home currently listed on the US market for $3 million.

11 Foot 8 Inches: The Infamous ‘Can Opener’ Bridge

At 11 foot 8 inches, the Norfolk Southern–Gregson Street Overpass, located in Durham, North Carolina, United States, is a bit too short. The federal government recommends that bridges on public roads should have a clearance of at least 14 feet. But when this railroad trestle was built in the 1940s, there were no standards for minimum clearance. As a result, trucks would frequently hit the bridge and get its roof scrapped off.
