Australia Resort Successfully Reimagines Tangible Tube joints as Seating

Australian-based architectural firm Techne has lately remodeled the Prahran Resort and pub. The process engaged the demolition of the back expansion that was designed in the Seventies. It was changed with a very exclusive and contemporary addition. The developers select to use huge concrete pipes as both the pub's sitting and outer facade. The pipes are placed on top of each other to fulfill the building’s two-story size while still enabling a lot of daylight in through the windows. There are 17 pipes in all. The ones used for clients can hold anywhere from two to 12 visitors and are complete with natural leather sitting and timber paneling.

Other exclusive factors of this remodelling consist of the huge open courtyard that increases daylight and the concrete half-pipe that has been installed on steel beams, performing as an alternate dining booth. The internal of the building is a mix of incomplete concrete and steel. This function helps to comparison the comfort of the organic timber and natural leather found throughout the framework.

At 11 foot 8 inches, the Norfolk Southern–Gregson Street Overpass, located in Durham, North Carolina, United States, is a bit too short. The federal government recommends that bridges on public roads should have a clearance of at least 14 feet. But when this railroad trestle was built in the 1940s, there were no standards for minimum clearance. As a result, trucks would frequently hit the bridge and get its roof scrapped off.
