Amazing Performers Journey on Home made Flotillas

Photographer Tod Seelie catches the lifestyle of artists as they travel across waterways, sailing on their own uniquely designed rafts. Structured by road specialist Caledonia "Callie" Curry, best known as Swoon, the venture launched on its first adventure last season. Each flotilla, developed out of reprocessed and discovered components, features its own vivid, free-spirited character. Like a journeying festival of Peter Pan and the Missing Guys (and Girls), the performers panel their hand made delivers and set off on an adventure.

The concept behind each journey is more than just a fun boating encounter for the performers themselves. Seelie says :
"[R]eally it’s a mixture of factors, but I’d say the primary factor [of the trips] is inspiration. It’s the motivation we think and the motivation other individuals encounter when they come across us.”
He adds :
"We are moving as this giant group and intentionally trying to engage people."
The tourists created a addiction out of docking their flotillas and interesting crowds of people. They even went so far as to encourage audiences onto their vessels to educate them art creating trades like silk screening.

Thus far, the team has created four visits in complete, all last year—two going down the Mississippi River, one on the Hudson River Troy, New York to Queens, and final journey from Slovenia to Venice. Now, there are programs to participate on another encounter in Oregon in mid-August. Seelie is set to be on panel once again, including more pictures of their interesting journey to his Swimming Cities of Serenissima sequence.

Anai believed the pond was not natural, nor was it infinitely deep as the local lore went, and he decided to prove it. He convinced some of his villagers and together they bought a water pump and began to siphon water out of the pond. After 17 days of pumping, the water level fell enough to reveal the flooded entrance to an ancient, man-made cave, confirming Anai’s suspicion.
