The statue of a younger lady, facedown and veiled by a flow of glass crystal beads, is an exciting perform of art known as Ghost Girl by London-based artist Kevin Francis Gray. Provided on a stand like a classic Ancient statue, the stone determine provides a sad look at a contemporary younger lady. It brings together the classic style of sculptures with an city aesthetic; thereby, major one to question its creative objective.
This contemporary piece, like much of Gray's work, has a sign of secrecy and surrealism to it. When the handmade veil is retracted, it is exposed that a skeletal experience can be found behind it. Similarly distressing are the marks on the female's hands, intentionally organised behind her body. One is led to wonder whether the beads are symbolic tears or an interpretive shield.
Each of Gray's sculptures, generally made of throw content, brown, or stone, models some sort of hiding content to keep the numbers invisible. They each wear a mask, whether it's in the form of a flow of pellets protecting their experience or a draping piece blocking their entire bodies.
