Artist Kasia Derwinska makes moments with contemplative silhouettes trying to find their own routes in lifestyle. Each confidential personality is either status at a range or strolling off in a wide and vacant scenery. Choosing not to consult herself as a professional photographer, Derwinska says :
"I use photography as a tool, like a brush for painting or an instrument to play music."
She further explains :
"My creations are an attempt to connect the visible with the invisible - feelings, emotions, fears, hopes and doubts about the world we live in. It is my personal journey through this unreal reality."

In 1992, a strangely curious man named Wu Anai, near the Chinese village of Shiyan Beicun in Longyou County, based on a hunch, began to pump water out of a pond in his village.
