Orange Chooses Movea to Change House Entertainment with Gesture-Control Set-Top Box

Leading telecommunications owner to set up first-of-its-kind SmartMotion® powered set-top boxes

Movea (www.movea.com), the top provider of data-fusion and motion-processing technology for technological innovation, today declared its cooperation with Orange, one of the biggest telecoms providers, on the first extensive commercial implementation of a gesture-control set-top box. The new Orange Livebox® set-top box will run Movea's SmartMotion Hosting server, the movement handling motor for electronic home entertainment, and will deliver with a MEMS motion-sensing handheld management to provide a more fun and user-friendly way for individuals to enjoy rich electronic material on the TV.

The incorporation of Movea's SmartMotion Hosting server with Orange's Livebox Play® enables simple and easy point-and-click TV communications and the ability to quickly release and management activities and applications. There are easy actions for functions such as amount management, web browsing, gamepad or joystick management, as well as music, photo, movie enjoyment and more.

SmartMotion Server's contextual attention functions allow 10 easy actions to be used across a variety of TV watching activities, which allow for a more user-friendly encounter for individuals of all ages and interests. For example, Livebox Perform customers will be able to modify amount with a soothing perspective of the hand, create a "check" action to select an item and an "x" action to close an program. Moreover, MEMS movement receptors on board the handheld management let Orange members quickly factor and just click to get around the user interface and play powerful motion-driven activities with sleek, precise 3D movement.
