Amazing Weaved Set up Made of 60,000 Coffee Stirrers

Most people don't think twice about their coffee stirrers once they've satisfied their combining responsibilities, but specialist Jonathan Amazing has discovered another objective for the typical wood made stays. The Durham, Northern Carolina-based specialist has designed several spatial art set ups over the years that integrate the coffee mix stays, perhaps the most eye-fetching of them being The Sumter Item.
The site-specific framework, set up in 2007 in Sumter, Southern Carolina, involved 60,000 wood made combining stays professionally woven together. Amazing created a carefully designed sculptural piece that extended across two surfaces. It achieved over a second ground terrace and revoked from the roof of the first ground, creatively wrap around an lighted chandelier.

The subjective development took 14 days to integrate together and set up on site. It's hard to believe, but there were no extra resources on side. Amazing says,  "No adhesive was used and the entire structure holds itself in place because of the tensile strength of 7” rounded end wooden coffee stirrers. After nearly six months the piece eventually separated and the materials were donated to a local school."
