Garmin® GLO™ Convenient GPS and GLONASS System Delivers High-Integrity GPS Ability to Cellular Devices


Garmin Worldwide Inc., a unit of Forerunner Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRMN), the world head in sat nav, today declared GLO™, a transportable GPS and GLONASS receiver which Garmin's industry-leading GPS technological innovation to cellular phones.

When using both GPS and GLONASS satellite, the time it takes for the receiver to "lock on" to a place is (on average) roughly 20 percent quicker than using GPS alone. This is particularly helpful for customers who need efficient sat nav in complicated surroundings such as deep canyons or city surroundings where a large part of the sky is clogged by powerful things.

GLO easily joins to Apple® and Android™ gadgets via Wireless bluetooth. It offers a 12 hour battery power and a place upgrade amount of up to 10 periods per second (update amount may be restricted by the coordinator device).
