Newport Media's NMC1000 Connection SoC details the increasing international mobile phone market
Newport Press, a modern fabless marketing and sales communications semiconductor company providing products to the transmitted media industry, today declared its first system-on-chip (SoC) product to deal with the wifi connectivity industry.
The NMC1000 is a Wi-Fi® SoC that includes all RF and Baseband build required to offer IEEE 802.11b, g, n-compliant function such as all necessary power amps and changes. By utilizing Cardiff Media's advanced OFDM baseband and RF CMOS technology, the NMC1000 offers levels of efficiency, power consumption, and exterior expenses of content (BOM) typically associated with the leading connectivity alternatives services.
"As smartphones on the market substitute feature mobile phones as the standard in wifi marketplaces throughout the planet, there will be great demand for connectivity alternatives that offer considerably lower expenses of content costs without jeopardises in efficiency," said Mohy Abdelgany, chief professional and boss for Newport Media. "Newport Press has a well-established reputation of providing best-in-class OFDM SoC alternatives into highly price-competitive marketplaces and looks forward to growing its connectivity offering to deal with this powerful and increasing industry."
The NMC1000 is available in 40-pin, 5mm X 5mm quad flat no-lead (QFN) and 2.5mm x 2.5mm nick range offers, demanding the sector's smallest exterior BOM.
Engineering examples will be available next month with volume production planned to continue in it all one fourth of 2012.
