Microsoft to Obtain Yammer


Microsoft expands reasoning solutions with best-in-class business public media.
Microsoft Corp. and Yammer Inc. today declared that they have joined into a specified contract under which Microsoft will acquire Yammer, a major provider of business public social networking sites, for $1.2 billion in cash. Yammer will be a part of the Microsoft Workplace Department, led by division Chief executive Kurt DelBene, and the team will keep review to current CEO Mark Products.

"The getting Yammer emphasizes our investment to provide technology that businesses need and people like," said Bob Ballmer, CEO, Microsoft. "Yammer contributes a best-in-class business public media assistance to Windows growing collection of contrasting reasoning solutions."
