Companies indication MoU targeted at collaboration in four areas of technology
Tokyo/Munich. Akio Toyoda, Chief executive of toyota Engine Organization (TMC), met these days with Norbert Reithofer, Chair of the Panel of Management of BMW AG, at BMW Team head office in Munich to declare the organized development of their current collaboration started in Dec last season. The two organizations finalized a Memorandum of Knowing (MoU) targeted at long-term ideal collaboration in four fields: combined growth of a petrol mobile system, combined growth of structure and elements for a upcoming fancy car, collaboration on powertrain electrification and combined analysis and growth on compact technology.
Also these days, Norbert Reithofer and Akio Toyoda of TMC both finalized a Joint Declaration to reconfirm their companies' distributed objective to enhance the long-term, ideal collaboration between them.
Reithofer said: "We aim to further enhance our aggressive position in maintainable upcoming technology. We finalized an MoU to this effect these days. toyota and the BMW Team discuss the same ideal perspective of maintainable individual upcoming flexibility. Together we have a great opportunity to continue major our market through this modification."
Toyoda added: "BMW and toyota both want to make ever-better vehicles. We regard each other. And I think this is proven by our taking the next step only six months since the deciding upon of our initial agreement. toyota is powerful in environment-friendly compounds and petrol tissues. On the other hand, I believe BMW's durability is in creating activities vehicles. I am thrilled to think of the vehicles that will result from this connection."
In April 2012, the BMW Team and TMC finalized a joining agreement on collaborative analysis in the area of next-generation lithium-ion power supply tissues. In addition, the BMW Team and toyota Engine European countries joined into a agreement under which the BMW Team will supply highly-efficient 1.6 liter and 2.0 liter diesel fuel applications to toyota Engine European countries, starting in 2014.
Today's MoU symbolizes the companies' agreement in Dec last season to recognize and talk about other possible collaborative tasks.
