OmniVision Releases 16-Megapixel CameraChip™ Receptors For DSC/DVC and High-End Mobile phone Applications
OV16820 and OV16825 Offer 16-Megapixel Rush Digital photography, Assistance Growing 4K2K Conventional in Great Quality Recording
OmniVision Technological innovation, a major designer of innovative document image resolution alternatives, these days declared the OV16820 and OV16825, two 16-megapixel CameraChip sensors that support 16-megapixel rush photography and can catch 4K2K movie, or Quad Complete Great Description (QFHD), at 60 supports per second (FPS). Designed on the high-performance 1.34-micron OmniBSI-2™ pixel structure, the OV16820 and OV16825 were designed by OmniVision to assist emerging requirements in high-resolution videos for digital still and digital camera (DSC/DVC) marketplaces and the high-end smartphone market, respectively.
"It was an industry-wide supposition that mobile phones would cut into DSC/DVC sales; but at higher alternatives, we're seeing a very unique split between the two marketplaces and both stay powerful," said Devang Patel, mature product marketing administrator at OmniVision. "Industry professionals have noticed that popular DSC products are moving to 16-megapixel alternatives and are providing enhanced picture quality and optics. The OV16820 can handle such attractions, enabling DSC/DVC companies to offer customers a high-resolution, feature-rich compact digital photography experience, while the OV16825 provides top-tier image resolution and videos abilities for major mobile phones."
The 1/2.3-inch OV16820 and OV16825 picture sensors are capable of managing completely resolution (4608 x 3456) movie at 30 FPS, 4K2K (3840 x 2160) movie at 60 FPS, and 1080p HD movie at 60 FPS with extra p for electronic picture leveling (EIS). Additionally, the sensors allow full resolution 16-megapixel rush photography, a crucial function for DSC programs. All required picture handling features, such as faulty pixel and disturbance eliminating, RAW climbing, picture size, shape rate, visibility, obtain, popping and positioning are automated through the sequential digital camera control bus (SCCB) program.
The sensors are provided with industry-standard connection, such as up to 8-lane MIPI and LVDS outcome connections for top data rates. The OV16820 is available for choosing in a clay area lines range (CLGA) program while the OV16825 will be available in die form (RW/COB). Both are required to get into amount development by it all one fourth of 2012.
